We are riders producing technology that improves the simple pleasures of cycling we love. As such, our products are of uncompromising quality, built to be ridden by demanding cyclists.
With the world before us, things are looking bright for Simple Pleasures. After 3 years of rider testing and prototype revisions, the Gnar Bar Handlebar is dialed and ready for you to ride.
On the Horizon
The innovative Quick-True Tool, which enables truing of your wheels and rotors, without wheel removal, is getting some final tweaks and will be in mass production by winter 2009.
We are constantly adding to our list of projects to be engineered, and the themes of originality and durability are ever-present. Bring yourself back and see!
The People of Pleasure
SP Bicycles is the brain/brawn-child of Chris "Sully" Sullivan, a bike mechanic turned entrepreneur, loving life in Bend. You can still get your rig race-tuned at Pine Mountain Sports, by Sully.
Webmaster, Martin Denning, has created this site for your viewing pleasure fueling his progression in website and graphic design.
The Production Line
We have created a working relationship with SAPA Profiles, of Portland, Oregon. They are high-end frame producers of Titus, Knolly, and Santa Cruz frames among others. With over 15 years in the bicycle industry, we could not ask for a more capable or knowledgeable company to shape our metal components.
More than a town...
We share a community with businesses and individuals that support each other and the trails that we all ride. With 3% of our net profits divided between C.O.T.A (Central Oregon Trail Alliance), World Bicycle Relief, and 1% For the Planet, we embrace this principle.
